The generous scarf by designer Emma Ducher will take you on a journey to the beauty and versatility of Gansey patterns, which originated in fishermen's sweaters. Immerse yourself in playing with the different textures and create a cosy and original companion with the pleasant volume of our Lovely Merino Treat.
Playful Day looks striking but is effortlessly easy to knit. For the Gansey patterns, you combine knit, purl, and slip stitches, following either the charts or the written instructions. Repeating the patterns more or less often allows you to adjust the length of the scarf to your individual preferences. The garter stitch border all around gives the scarf a neat finish.
The finished scarf is approx. 266 cm (104.75 in) long and 28 cm (11 in) wide after blocking.
You need 4 skeins of Lovely Merino Treat (380 g). The indicated yarn quantities apply according to the gauge. The garment in the images is knitted with the colour Olive.
